Meet Jessica

Hi there,

My name is Jessica Leigh Hoover and I write on the walls around this place. Now that we're friends and all do me a favor and call me "Jess".

I write about faith, hope and love and the way those things get tangled and rearranged in the living. 

I’m a motherless daughter.  I am intent on leaving my daughter the best legacy possible, full of grace and Jesus following, even if it isn’t straight and perfect. Because the truth is that this journey is not straight and no one, no matter what the outside looks like, has it all together.  

I’ve found my superpower is encouragement of the most (in)couraging kind and I love to wrap my arms around new mamas across the miles and cheer them on.  I fight fear and believe that grace is the biggest kind of brave.  

Oh, and I love to laugh, A LOT, and not take myself too seriously. This whole maddeningly crazy, broken-beautiful God sized journey is what I write about.

I'm also a part of the Velvet Ashes community- an online home encouraging women serving overseas.
